ResMed lists the AirSense 11's typical power consumption as 56.1 W, so one 8-hour night on AC needs a station rated at 645 Wh or more. A 1,024 Wh station such as the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 runs it for 12 hours on AC, or 15 hours from its 12 V car socket with ResMed's DC converter.

How much power a CPAP draws
ResMed prints two figures for each AirSense machine in its US user guide: a typical power consumption and a peak. The calculator uses the typical figure for runtimes and the peak to check that a station's AC output is high enough.
ResMed AirSense 11: 56.1 W typical and 73.2 W peak, for the machine with the HumidAir 11 humidifier and the 65 W power supply (AirSense 11 user guide).
ResMed AirSense 10: 53 W typical and 104 W peak, with the HumidAir humidifier and the 90 W power supply (AirSense 10 user guide).
Philips DreamStation 2: the US user manual gives an input rating but no typical power consumption figure, so the tool and the table below leave it out.
Both ResMed peaks are below the AC output of every station on this site, where the lowest is 300 W. What limits you is battery capacity: how many hours a station can supply about 56 W.
What size you need for one night
Here is one 8-hour night on an AirSense 11, worked through the site's calculator. It counts 82% of a station's rated capacity as usable. On AC it adds the inverter's own draw: 10 W on stations under 1,000 Wh, 15 W from 1,000 to 1,499 Wh and 18 W from 1,500 Wh (Jackery's calculator figures, applied to every brand).
On AC: the night uses 529 Wh, so you need a station rated at 645 Wh or more.
On 12 V DC through ResMed's DC converter: 449 Wh with no inverter draw, so 547 Wh rated.
The AC night plus one phone charge and an LED bulb for 4 hours (the list in the tool above): 576 Wh, so 703 Wh rated.
No 300 Wh class station covers the night: they hold 44% to 46% of it on AC. Every 1 kWh class station covers it with some left over. The Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 holds 1.48 nights on AC, or 1.36 days of the tool's list. Change the hours in the tool to match your own nights, and it lists the stations that fit, sorted by price per Wh.
How long each model runs it
One appliance at a time, from the makers' own figures, counting 82% of each battery as usable plus the inverter's own draw (method).
2,048 Wh (EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max, Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 and others): 2.83 nights on AC, 3.74 on DC.
3,840 Wh and 4,096 Wh (Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus, EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3): 5.31 and 5.67 nights on AC.
Three nights in a row need 2,169 Wh rated on AC. The Dabbsson DBS2300 Plus (2,330 Wh) is the smallest station here that covers that, at 3.22 nights. On DC, three nights need 1,642 Wh rated, and the 2,042 Wh Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 covers them (3.73 nights). For an AirSense 10 at 53 W, a 1,024 Wh station gives 1.54 nights on AC.
Run it from 12 V DC for more hours
ResMed makes the Air11 DC/DC Converter 90W (model 390002) for the AirSense 11. It runs the CPAP from a power station's 12 V car socket instead of its AC outlet. A 12 V load skips the inverter, so the calculator adds no inverter draw, and the same battery gives more hours:
1,024 Wh (such as the EcoFlow DELTA 3): 12 hours on AC, 15 hours on DC.
1,536 Wh (Jackery Explorer 1500 v2): 17 hours on AC, 22 hours on DC.
ResMed's guide gives no separate figure for the draw through the converter, so the DC hours use the same 56.1 W typical figure. Check that your station has a 12 V car socket: the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Classic has none, and the DJI Power 1000 V2 and DJI Power 2000 need DJI's Power SDC to Car Charger Plug Power Cable. The tool and the table have no 12 V DC figure for the AirSense 10.
Keep the CPAP running when the power cuts out
A station with UPS switchover can sit between the wall and your CPAP. Plug the station into a wall outlet and the CPAP into the station. If grid power cuts out, the station switches the CPAP to its battery, which then runs it for the hours in the table above. The makers rate how fast that switch happens:
10 ms or under: most stations here, including the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2, Jackery Explorer 1500 v2, EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max and RIVER 3 Plus. FOSSiBOT rates the F2400 at under 8 ms.
15 ms: BLUETTI Elite 200 V2, Dabbsson DBS1000 Pro and DBS2300 Plus (Dabbsson calls it EPS).
20 ms: Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 and 2000 v2, BLUETTI AC180, Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus.
No figure listed: Jackery Explorer 300.
This site has no ResMed figure for how long a gap in power a CPAP can run through. Ask ResMed or your equipment supplier whether a 10 ms or 20 ms switchover is short enough for your machine.
The station sits near your bed, so check its noise rating too. Anker rates the SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 at 20 dB under 200 W, and BLUETTI lists the Elite 100 mini at 50 dB max.
Camping with a CPAP
For a weekend away from hookups, count the nights and decide between AC and DC. Two 8-hour nights of an AirSense 11 need this much rated capacity:
On 12 V DC: 1,095 Wh. The BLUETTI AC180 (1,152 Wh) is the smallest station here that covers it, and a 1,024 Wh station covers 94% of the two nights.
On AC: 1,387 Wh. The Jackery Explorer 1500 v2 (1,536 Wh) is the smallest station here that covers it.
If you carry the station from the car to the tent, check the weight. The 1 kWh class runs from 23.59 lb (BLUETTI Elite 100 mini) to 35.27 lb (BLUETTI AC180). The Jackery Explorer 1500 v2 weighs 31.97 lb and the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max 44.8 lb.
Solar panels can recharge the battery during the day, up to each maker's rated solar input: 600 W for the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2, 400 W for the Jackery Explorer 1500 v2 and 500 W for the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max. For a cooler, lights and phones as well, see power stations for camping.
Check with your doctor or supplier first
Ask your doctor or CPAP equipment supplier before you rely on a power station for your therapy, and before you change any humidifier or heated tube setting. ResMed's AirSense 10 user guide says: "If you are using an external battery, you should turn off the humidifier." Ask your supplier whether that applies to your machine and your prescription. ResMed's US guides give one typical figure for each machine with its humidifier and no figure without it, so every runtime on this page uses the figure with the humidifier attached.
If this page has no figure for your machine, such as the Philips DreamStation 2, ask the maker or your supplier for its typical power consumption in watts. The runtime method shows how to turn that figure into hours on any station: 82% of the rated Wh, divided by the machine's watts plus the inverter's draw on AC. To size a station for the fridge, router and lights as well, see power stations for home backup.
Questions people ask
Can a portable power station run a CPAP machine?
Yes. ResMed lists peak consumption of 73.2 W for the AirSense 11 and 104 W for the AirSense 10, below the lowest AC output on this site (300 W), and an AirSense 11 on AC runs 3.5 hours on the 286 Wh EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus and 45 hours on the 4,096 Wh EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3. Check with your doctor or equipment supplier before you run your CPAP on battery power.
What size power station do I need to run a CPAP?
For one 8-hour night of a ResMed AirSense 11 at 56.1 W, you need a station rated at 645 Wh on AC or 547 Wh on 12 V DC. A 1,024 Wh station gives 1.48 nights on AC, and two nights on AC need 1,387 Wh rated, which the 1,536 Wh Jackery Explorer 1500 v2 covers.
How long will a Jackery 300 run a CPAP?
The Jackery Explorer 300 (293.8 Wh) runs a ResMed AirSense 11 for 3.6 hours on AC, or 4.3 hours from its 12 V car port with ResMed's DC converter. That is 46% of an 8-hour night on AC. An AirSense 10 runs 3.8 hours on AC.
What can I use to power my CPAP while camping?
A power station with a 12 V car socket and ResMed's Air11 DC/DC Converter 90W gives an AirSense 11 more hours per charge than the AC outlet does, because a 12 V load skips the inverter. Two 8-hour nights on DC need 1,095 Wh rated, and the 1,152 Wh BLUETTI AC180 is the smallest station here that covers it.
What power station can run a CPAP for 3 nights?
Three 8-hour nights of an AirSense 11 need 1,642 Wh rated on 12 V DC, which the Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 (3.73 nights) and the 2,048 Wh stations such as the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max (3.74 nights) cover. On AC they need 2,169 Wh rated, and the smallest station here that covers that is the 2,330 Wh Dabbsson DBS2300 Plus (3.22 nights).
Will my CPAP keep running if the power goes out?
It can if the CPAP is plugged into a power station that is plugged into the wall: when grid power cuts out, the station switches to its battery. The makers that publish a figure rate that switchover from under 8 ms (FOSSiBOT F2400) to 20 ms, and Anker rates the SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 at 10 ms. Ask ResMed or your supplier whether that gap is short enough for your machine.
